The electric locomotives of the E 18 series reached top speeds of up to 150 km / h and were thus among the fastest electric locomotives of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. A total of 55 copies were built between 1935 and 1955 by manufacturers such as AEG or Krupp.
 The model can easily be motorized with either up to two LEGO Power Functions train motors or 9V train motors.
 The model was specially developed for the use of "Big Ben Bricks" railway wheels.
