The locomotives of the E44 series were very robust and reliable universal locomotives, which were built in the years 1932-1955. A total of 187 copies were built by manufacturers such as Krauss-Maffei or Henschel. For a long time they shaped rail traffic in southern and central Germany until they were finally retired from the German railways in 1984 and from the German Reichsbahn in 1991.
The model consists of approx. 880 individual parts and is approx. 43 studs long. It can be easily motorized with up to two Power-Functions train motors or 9V train motors.
